01. The Challenge
The client was a working artist and designer who needed to sell clothing and artwork online but didn't want a generic Shopify storefront they wanted a custom site that matched their brand and pulled inventory + orders from Shopify on the backend. They also needed it built end to end by one person they could communicate with directly, not an agency layer.
02. The Solution
Solo build:
React frontend with custom UI matching the client's brand
Node.js backend handling Shopify API integration for inventory sync and order management
Shopify as the source of truth for products, fulfillment, and payments site as the custom front end the client controls
End to end ownership: scoping, architecture, frontend, backend, integration, deploy
03. The Result
Live ecommerce site with Shopify backed inventory and orders
Client could focus on their art while the storefront ran reliably
Demonstrated end to end ownership of a project scoping through deploy without an agency or team
